Major Canadian developer announces new executive appointment

MACH, a leading Canadian private property owner and developer, has announced the appointment of its next executive vice-president for its operations in Ontario and Western Canada.

Earlier this week, MACH confirmed that Stephen Champion is its newest executive VP of real estate and development, covering the aforementioned jurisdictions.

“Stephen has almost twenty years of experience in commercial real estate overseeing investments, development and management operations across all asset classes with a majority of his career spent managing large Canadian portfolios,” the company stated in its announcement. “He is known for his ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and successful real estate projects.”

Champion’s prior experience includes senior leadership positions in Sears Canada in Toronto, SmartCentres REIT in Toronto, and Colliers International in Vancouver British Columbia and Seattle, Washington.

“Stephen is undoubtedly the right person to lead our expansion projects west of Québec. He will bring invaluable expertise to the table and will be based in our brand new Toronto offices,” MACH president Vincent Chiara added.

At present, MACH has a portfolio of nearly 35 million square feet of commercial, industrial, and residential assets in Quebec.
