Industry leader Gord Dahlen has moved from his executive position at Dominion Lending Centres, with another channel player now welcoming him into its expanding fold.

Industry leader Gord Dahlen has moved from his executive position at Dominion Lending Centres, with another channel player now welcoming him into its expanding fold.

The president and CEO of Canadian First Financial is now announcing the appointment of Dahlen as VP of retail banking network development effective Monday, September 9.

Dahlen will be reporting to Karl Straky, the founder & chief commercial officer.

“Gord joins us with over 24 years of leadership experience in the mortgage brokering industry,” says Peter Vukanovich, in a statement issued to staff Friday. “His high level of integrity, ability to build quality relationships, and in-depth knowledge of today's marketplace have led him to the Canadian Mortgage Hall of Fame and now to Canadian First Financial."

Vukanovich is lauding Dahlen, a past recipient of the CMA’s Lifetime Achievement Award, as the ideal candidate to work with industry stakeholders in establishing CFF’s unique retail banking model with mortgage brokers and financial services professionals alike.

Dahlen has cemented relationships across the channel in a storied career.

He joined DLC in 2011 as an executive VP, having previously served as president and CEO of Invis and Mortgage Intelligence. Before that, Dahlen was an integratal part of MCAP’s team.
