CAPREIT names new CEO

New executive has almost three decades of experience in multi-family housing

The board of trustees of the Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAPREIT) announced that Mark Kenney has been appointed chief executive officer and board member.

Kenney joined CAPREIT in 1998 and, prior to his appointment, served as the REIT’s president and chief operating officer. He has almost three decades of experience in the multi-family real estate sector, and has held leadership stints at Realstar Management Partnership, overseeing portfolios in Western Canada and Northern Ontario, and Greenwin Property Management, and Tridel. Kenney is also a board member of the Federation of Rental-Housing Providers of Ontario and St. Hilda's Towers.
