Rest in peace Mr. Flaherty, and may your family find comfort in knowing how much you have contributed to Canada and Canadians, and how hard of an act you are to follow.

It's a real shame, he was a successful minister in several governments for so many years, serving the public for an income that was very small compared to the financial private sector and he put in punishing hours in the face of a serious illness. A brave, hardworking man who actually believed in doing the right thing for his country. Very sorry for the family.
