This very publication may have prematurely announced the death of the mortgage broker storefront, with at least one broker pointing to the strong traffic that model continues to win him.

I think having a storefront is not about a stream of walk in customers but having a location that is professional and available to clients. Bricks and mortar seems to work well for the banks so why not us. The exposure helps, we get 50,000 cars that drive by us everyday, hard to drive that traffic on the internet for free. When clients are ready for a mortgage they know where to find you. Having a professional looking building, staffed during normal business hours with good parking is the key.

I have had a store front for 20 years and would not change. I attribute my success to the storefront!
