We actually now submit a form with documents stating that we have not verified them. Its about all we can do to protect ourselves. In this case the lawyer is the last line of defense for the banks and they have to take what they are saying as true. It also lends weight to the banks wanting three lawyers involved, one for seller, one for buyer and one for them.
