The majority of first-time homebuyers in several large Ontario cities are moving into condominiums to avoid the high prices of single-family homes, a recent report has found.

    Personally, I think the "affordability" factor where condos are concerned is a myth...when you can't touch a decent-sized (as in, over 500 sq ft) one for under $300K (in Toronto anyway), it's no more affordable than buying a house, especially after you factor in the maintenance fees.
