    Not to be missed in this debate is that Dustan Woodhouse has a vested interest in under reporting foreign buyers, and he purposefully confuses discourse when equating foreign buyers as resident immigrants or local constituents. More accurately it is Toronto's residents which have built this "colourful tapestry" which foreign buyers are benefiting from. We have every right to take precautions.

    Ontario has nothing to lose by implementing an across-the-province foreign buyer tax; However doing so, might not dissuade foreign buyers who are already willing to pay well over fair-market-value for properties in major cities.
