While some Canadian housing markets are reporting a slow start to 2018, it seems that there are still plenty of potential buyers looking at what’s available.
New figures from real estate platform Point2 Homes reveal a significant increase in traffic during January, a 42.38% rise from December and a 38.22% rise year-over-year.
The site reported a record 4.6 million visits and 26 million page views with an increase of almost 43% month-over-month among Canadian visitors (2.9 million).
The leading markets delivering traffic to the site were in Toronto and Ottawa but there were also sharp rises in users from Calgary (46%) and Vancouver (69%).
Point2 Homes says it has delivered a year-over-year increase in leads to real estate agents of 36.12%.
