TMG ranks 6th in top 20 companies to work for in BC

TMG The Mortgage Group Canada ranked number six among this year’s list of 20 best companies to work for in British Columbia compiled by BCBusiness Magazine.

TMG The Mortgage Group Canada ranked number six among this year’s list of 20 best companies to work for in British Columbia compiled by BCBusiness Magazine.

“TMG’s mantra is to find mortgage options to suit the distinct financial realities of each of its clients,” according to BCBusiness. “For its staff, however, TMG delivers what one employee calls a ‘big-company presence with the feel of a small, family-like organization.’”

Companies named to the annual Best Companies to Work for in BC list are selected through a year-long vetting process that measures employee satisfaction and compares results to other industry participants. The list aims to honour companies in the province that dedicate efforts towards best workplace practices.

“The Best Companies to Work for in BC for 2012 make their employees a priority,” said Peter Legge Chairman and CEO Canada Wide Media Ltd. and Publisher of BCBusiness Magazine. “Through our surveys, staff at these leading companies, have told us how much their employers recognize and value their contributions. It’s no wonder these companies have maintained their commitment to being highly sought-after places to work.”

TMG employees are encouraged to learn through company education programs that allow brokers to continually upgrade their skills and are also taught to uphold ethical values and “not to break the rules to get a sale,” said the magazine.

The survey focuses on four key areas:  talent systems, employee engagement, leadership dynamics and organizational culture. In addition to top overall rankings, TMG placed second in the Financial Services category.

“This award is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of our many employees,” said Mark Kerzner, president of TMG. “It’s also a reaffirmation from our mortgage brokers and agents that we continue to meet and exceed their evolving needs and expectations. I feel fortunate and proud to lead one of the most progressive brokerage companies in Canada.”
