Simon Sinek to be keynote presenter at DLC conference

Motivational speaker Simon Sinek, author of Start With Why: How Great Leaders Inspire Everyone to Take Action, was announced as the keynote presenter for Dominion Lending Centres’ 2011 National Sales Conference in Las Vegas.

Sinek has spoken to audiences all over the world including at the Pentagon, the United Nations, Hollywood and Microsoft. He focuses on how organizations function on three levels: what you do, how you do it and why you do it. He has found that the why is the most important aspect to inspire anyone but many companies fail to communicate what the why is.

“At our first national sales conference, we want to inspire our agents to continue to add value to their customers and differentiate themselves from the competition,” said Cindy Freiman, DLC director of public relations and communications. “Simon Sinek’s talk is a perfect fit with the beliefs of Dominion Lending Centres and how we want to continue to function as a company—the leaders who inspire are not driven with what they do but why they do it.”

The conference will be held May 15-18, 2011 and offers Vegas-style networking events, a trade fair showcasing the latest mortgage products and services, insightful speakers and a host hotel.

I have seen Simon speak twice before and I love that he inspires people to do the things that inspire them. He challenges you to remember why you do what you do. The Golden Circle makes it easy to understand the difference between companies that sell products and the ones (the more successful ones) that sell ideas/feelings/beliefs.

His talk helps you focus on your purpose and what gives you the enjoyment of what you do. His theories help organizations understand their Why so that everyone who works for those organizations go home every night feeling inspired and fulfilled. What a great result for both the mortgage professionals attending this session and their customers once they return home!
