One of Canada’s largest and most influential real estate platforms has seen a dramatic upward trend in its visitors, with the number of users increasing by a record-high 25 per cent year-over-year last month.
In March alone, the site’s traffic stats indicated over 4 million unique visits, 14 per cent more than February and reinforcing Point2 Homes’ “status as the preferred search portal for home buyers in Canada and many international locations.”
“The largest boost in the number of visitors was reported in Canada, with a 36% increase compared to March 2016. This percentage means an additional 629,000 visitors gained confidence that Point2 Homes is the go-to portal to search for homes in Canada,” the company announced.
“International traffic, from locations such as Puerto Rico, Mexico and Costa Rica, has also increased by 35% year-over-year. Traffic from the US is on the rise too, with a 7% increase. The number of overall pageviews has increased by 28%, from 19.3 million in March 2016, to 24.6 million last month.”
The site is also rapidly becoming a primary source of leads, with “54% more leads to real estate agents listing on the platform than in March 2016.” In the same time frame, 65 per cent more leads were sent to Canadian agents, while 27 per cent more leads were sent to U.S.-based agents. All in all, 146 per cent more leads were sent to international agents.
