Nominations have started pouring in this week for the 2013 Canadian Mortgage Awards, which are primed to surpass previous celebrations with newly invigorated categories.
Presented by CMP and MortgageBrokerNews.ca, the CMA is the industry’s biggest and most comprehensive celebration of excellence. It has grown exponentially since its inception in 2005.
PwC, official ballot accountants of many major Canadian award ceremonies such as the Gemini, Genie and JUNO awards, will serve as CMA ballot auditors just as they did last year.
“As the nomination, finalist, and judging process grows in size and complexity, we felt it was important to deepen the vetting power of third party to verify the process and validate the results," said Chris Davis, CMA event Director.
Nominations end February 15 so act now, said Davis.
CMP kicked off this Monday, one of the largest industry surveys ever for the awards.
Through a collective process of telephone interviews, online and e-mail surveys, CMP asks the entire industry “Who do YOU think is the best and brightest?” across several award categories.
Once a shortlist of the official nominees is announced, CMP will start to work with all nominees across each category to compile detailed individual reports. These will be presented to judges for their consideration and to our official auditing firm for confirmation.
For this year, CMP created new “campaign kits” to help individuals canvas votes. The kits and more information about the awards can be found on a revamped CanadianMortgageAwards.com site. Nominees can custom-create email signatures and templates to boost their chances of winning one of the mortgage industry’s most coveted statuettes.
All winners will be announced on May 10, 2013, in Academy Award fashion at the CMA’s old stomping grounds, Toronto’s historic Liberty Grand ballroom.
