Mortgage Alliance announces pilot direct connection with First National’s platform

MortgageBOSS™ and MERLIN establish linkage in a bid to streamline industry processes

Canada’s leading mortgage brokerage has announced a new linkage between its proprietary enterprise software and a platform operated by the country’s largest non-bank mortgage originator and underwriter.

In its November 21 press release, Mortgage Alliance revealed the launch of a pilot direct connection between its MortgageBOSS™ solution and First National’s MERLIN software. The collaboration will aim to streamline processes to provide greater efficiency and a wider range of choices to brokers.

“Direct lender connectivity presents endless opportunities and we are excited to begin the growth phase of this first of its kind initiative with Canada’s largest non-bank mortgage lender and a long time strategic partner, First National Financial Corporation,” Mortgage Alliance CEO Michael Beckette said in the release.

The linkage will permit MortgageBOSS™ users to forward applications (and their accompanying info and documents) sourced from internet, mobile, or desktop platforms to participating lenders.

“Our business model has always revolved around superior service and enhanced efficiencies. We are very proud to be part of this exciting opportunity that is aligned with our broker value proposition,” First National senior vice president (residential mortgages) Scott McKenzie said.

“With flexible systems and resources on our end, we are excited to contribute to this innovative solution,” McKenzie added.

Used by over 80 independent affiliate brokerages, 100 franchise companies, and 3,000 brokers, MortgageBOSS™ represents one of the country’s largest broker networks.
