MCAP has new CEO

by |

Just months after the departure of Ron Swift, MCAP has again undergone changes at the executive level.

Steve Maker and Lorne Jenkins, formerly CEO and CFO respectively, are no longer with MCAP and Derek Norton has been appointed president and CEO. Norton will also continue in his current role as president and CEO of MCAP Commercial LP.

It was only in September that Maker stepped into the breach left by Swift, who after 19 years at the lender departed to take the helm of Pacific Mortgage Group as its CEO. At the time it was also announced that MCAP’s VP of Sales Gino Tieri was to become the senior leadership contact for mortgage brokers.

“I have identified (Gino) as the senior leadership contact for our broker community,” said Maker at the time. “He is already a familiar entity and senior contact for MCAP in the broker community. Going forward, I ask that you contact Gino directly on matters requiring senior management involvement.”

Ron was a big part of MCAP. They will have a hard time finding someone to replace him.
