Correction: DLC claims 26 agents on Top 75

by |

CMP erred: Dominion Lending Centres, in fact, claimed the largest number of brokers on this year’s Top 75. It edged out its counterparts with 26 agents and brokers on that list. This represents the fourth time the broker network has accomplished the feat. CMP regrets the error and apologizes for any confusion.

congrats to all the brokers on the list.

This is a joke. Would have been good to know exactly what the mistake was.... Smells very fishy. Is some one paying CMP $ for these new results? Seriously, how do you believe this list. And how did a Verico ad claiming their dominance appear in the same edition when the results are supposed to be secret??LOL

From my calculations we're talking about a difference of one person compared to the next superbroker on the list. Is this really that important. Individuals get on the list not superbrokers. Let's grow up a bit.

It's a competitive game for bragging rights. I'm sure that if you came in first in a race and was placed second you wouldn't ask for a recount either. I agree, grow up.

Send the list to Canada Revenue Agency...then we'll see who's got bragging rights.

The mistake was CMP simply not counting properly. The list didn't change -- the same 75 names are there. No one was paid, nothing fishy. Just CMP not adding up the correct number properly and therefore misrepresenting who had more on the list. Congrats to everyone who made the CMP Top 75 and CMP Top 20 Small Market! You should all be proud. Well done.

Please, this list is not indicative of the top offices in Canada at all. This is brokers who fill out a form for themselves, list their own information, all so that they can be listed as in the "top 75". This list is nothing more than a bunch of ego maniacs who want to flaunt thier businesses. The fact of the matter is that I know of at least 15 brokerages across Canada that trump Dominions 26 on this list, with proven numbers. This list is not for anyone other than the people who put their own names on the list.

The reality is that this list is open to ANYONE within the industry. While some people choose not to publish their numbers, others put it all on the line, so to speak, for a chance to be on the list.

This offers just one more way to be able to market yourself as a true professional in the eyes of consumers and business partners. Those who make the list are, at the very least, proving they’re dedicated full-time to brokering as their livelihood. How can this be a bad thing?

Kudos to those who made the list and who are willing to put their figures out there!
