Canadian Mortgage Awards names first group of finalists

by |

It’s that time of year again – time for the finalists for the Canadian Mortgage Awards to be announced.

Beginning today, we will be releasing the names of the finalists in several categories, including Best Customer Service, Best Community Service Effort and Employer of Choice, with the naming of the Mortgage Broker of the Year category finalists later this week.

“We would like to congratulate all the finalists,” said CMP Editor John Tenpenny. “This year’s group is the best of the best in the mortgage industry and was selected from thousands of nominations.”

The sixth annual Canadian Mortgage Awards, presented by Home Trust, will take place on Friday, June 1 in Toronto at The Carlu. The move to a new venue will allow for more than 600 attendees as the event continues to expand. You don’t want to miss what is sure to be one of the biggest events of the year in the Canadian mortgage industry, so reserve your table now as the event will sell out (www.canadianmortgageawards.com). The event closes out The Mortgage Summit (www.themortgagesummit.ca), a two-day Toronto conference powered by CMP and MortgageBrokerNews.ca, also being held at The Carlu.

The fate of the finalists in now in the hands of the judging panel, with the entire process being overseen by PwC, the official auditor of the Canadian Mortgage Awards.

“As the nomination, finalist, and judging process grows in size and complexity we felt it was important to bring in a third party to verify the process and validate the results of this process,” said Chris Davis, events manager for KMI Media. "To that end, we are happy to announce that PwC is now the official auditor of the Canadian Mortgage Awards.”

It is sure to be a night to remember, with a Roaring 20s theme, including live entertainment, prizes, giveaways, a delicious four course gourmet meal, drinks, and dancing. Join more than 600 of your colleagues, friends, and industry professionals from across Canada, for the biggest night on the industry calendar, and celebrate and honour the achievements and successes of 2011.
