Could this be the beginning of the forecasted "soft landing?" Developers appear to be a little less eager to scoop up land in the Toronto area to build condos on, reports The Globe and Mail.

Soft at first, but when people realize how overpriced their condo "investment" was, I doubt the landing will resemble anything "soft"

I hope it is soft landing as I remembered in late 1989, the first type of property that dropped in value was high rise condo, in early 1990, the whole real estate market completely reversed from the booming cycle of 1986 to 1989. Some real estate dropped by 35% to 40% and the last recession in Toronto lasted for 6 years, 1990 to 1996.
